IT BEGAN AS AN IDEA
Our History
Founded in 2014 as a partnership between UpDayton and Catapult Creative, Dayton Inspires began with the modest goal of simply shifting the perception of Dayton to a more positive one. However, it has over time grown into something much more. Dayton Inspires is as much a message in and of itself as it is a community oriented brand. It is a rallying cry for those who are tired of hearing the same misplaced negative attitudes about the city we love over and over again. What started as primarily a social media campaign has now developed into a regional organizing power for those who want to make real tangible differences in our communities.

Who We Are
Dayton Positive Campaign
Through social media, the arts, and events, we shine a light on why Dayton has inspired us and what is inspiring us about Dayton now. Our selfie murals have become "must-dos" for visitors and locals alike.
Volunteer Organization
Dayton Inspires has organized thousands of volunteers to make an impact in those areas of Dayton that need it the most. Through clean-ups, toy drives, events, we believe in the power of bringing people together to do great things.
Fundraiser For Dayton Nonprofits
Dayton Inspires creates and sells merchandise on our website, and also organizes events to help raise money for Dayton positive organizations and nonprofits working to make our great city even better.
